Understanding quantum mechanics
Introduction and wavemechanics, postulates of quantum mechanics, Dirac fomalism, two-state systems and elements of quantum information, angular momentum and spin, central potential and the hydrogen atom, fine structure and relativistic corrections, Heisenberg- and Schrödinger picture, symmetries and conservation laws, perturbation theory, Zeeman- and Stark effect, scattering theory, density operator and mixed states, identical particles.
Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
