After successful completion of this module, the students master the active exploration of the current state of knowledge in the subject of the dissertation topic and the critical reflection and discussion with experts of the chosen chemical subdiscipline.
Departmental Seminar: Talks by graduate students of the Inst Phys. Chemistry with a short presentation of the study area, and status reports of the sub-projects.

PhD Students have to participate 6 times in the seminar of the institute, as specified in the dissertation agreement.
