The students will obtain basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical methods for pharmaceuticals and their active ingredients

  • Chromatography
  • Elementary analysis
  • Identification of pharmaceutical substances using a separation scheme
  • Check of identity and purity of a pharmaceutical substance using European and Austrian pharmacopoeia
  • Quantitative measurements
  • Identification of an alkaloid using tlc
  • Separation and analysis of mixtures of pharmaceutical substances
