Building research and its implementation in practice, rehabilitation, Debate in historic/architectural heritage and technical respect to the evolution of form and materials, case studies.

In the context of the course, theoretical basics of monument conservation are taught. Excursions provide a practical insight into the handling of historical building fabric and problems of monument conservation are discussed.
Special emphasis is also placed on basic knowledge of materials technology, historical constructions and the connection between "old and new".

 

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
