Goal: A1

At this level the learner can understand everyday expressions and simple sentences aimed at the satisfaction of simple needs of a concrete type; he/she can introduce himself/herself and others and ask questions about personal details - e.g. where they live, whom they know and what things they own - and can answer questions of this kind; he/she can communicate in a simple way if the other person is sympathetic and speaks slowly and clearly.

pronunciation; greeting and getting to know each other; in a café; shopping; appointments; in a town/giving directions; time; numbers from 0 - 1000

Linguistic Goals:
to greet each other; to introduce yourself and others; to give personal information: name/background/place of living/address; to ask for reasons and give reasons; to express likes/dislikes; to say goodbye; to ask how somebody feels and answer questions of this kind; to ask for repetition, if you have not understood correctly; to express likes/dislikes; to make suggestions/to offer something and react to situations of this kind; to find out somebody's desires; to confirm something; to ask for the price; to give reasons for something; to order/demand something in a shop; to ask about the meaning of something; to talk about towns; to describe places; to speak to somebody and ask for directions/give directions; to express thanks; to make suggestions; to agree on something; to write a picture postcard; to talk about the weather; to congratulate somebody; to ask for the time; to say what time it is; to write an informal e-mail; to talk about events in the past; to express your opinion; to talk about a trip; to express amazement

Structural Goals:
nouns; definite and indefinite articles in the singular/plural; personal pronouns; demonstrative pronouns - to give further information about known people or objects; adjectives, the definite/indefinite form - to describe people and objects in some detail; reflexive/non-reflexive possessive pronouns - to talk about possession; the present tense indicative conjugation - to express events in the present; past (simple) tense - to express finished actions in the past; imperative - to make requests/commands
