The fundamentals of the German legal system, especially private law, are taught; students gain an insight into important German legal literature

The overview of German law focuses on private law and there again on the German Civil Code (BGB). However, it also repeatedly looks at corporate law and references to procedural law are also made. Comparisons to Austrian law, which are drawn throughout the course, are intended to promote an understanding of similarities and differences.
