The lecture provides students with in-depth insights into selected issues of Austrian and European intellectual property law.
Intellectual property rights promote innovation and support growth as well as the smooth functioning of competitive markets. Therefore, trademark and patent law are of substantial and ever-increasing importance for the economy. The class puts an emphasis on these two industrial property rights and focuses on the requirements for registration, the scope of application as well as legal remedies against infringements.
Lecture, assessment based on a single examination act at the end of the course.
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
The course is aimed primarily at students of business law and the "classical" law, but is also suitable for Sowi students.
