BA § 5 (1) 6.b Political System of Austria - Introductory Level

Students know the functions and structures or relevant institutions and processes of the political system and selected policy fields. Moreover, they illustrate the most important aspects of political history of the First and Second Republic.

Students will primarily discuss and conduct a review of concepts, functions and structures of the Austrian political system and its institutions. In this regard, one key aspect of the course lays in federalism. In addition, students will be concerned with the most crucial historical phenomena of the First and Second Republic.
