In this VU on radicalisation and extremism, different theoretical and practical approaches will be presented and discussed. At the beginning of the course, basic terms will be clarified. The key theoretical approaches to radicalisation and extremism are presented, different phenomena (right-wing extremism, jihadism, etc.) will be discussed. The social and legal handling of radicalisation/extremism - in terms of prevention, repression and anti-terror legislation - will be examined.
