Learning Outcome:

Basic knowledge of the central problems and methods of philosophy. Basic orientation in the history of philosophy. Basic knowledge of scientific writing in philosophy.

Contents:

Philosophical problems and concepts will be introduced through selected philosophical writings dating from different philosophical eras. The course is also intended as an introduction to scientific methods in philosophy.

Methods:

Presentations by course instructor, reading and discussion, practical exercises

Assessment:

Written examination.
