Deepened knowledge about theoretical foundations and analytical strengths of the concept of dialogism as orientation towards a linguistic and medial vis-à-vis considering linguistic and literary studies alike.

Starting point of our work is the notion of dialogism that focusses on the dialogic potential of language (Imo 2016, 340) and its relevance in literary studies and linguistics alike. We will deal with neighbouring concepts like interference, accommodation and recipient design, regarding their theoretical foundation as well as their analytical impacts e.g. on the thesis projects of the participants. The seminar plans an intensive exchange between linguistics and literary studies and targets especially on the members of the PhD Colleg “Borders, pushing borders and transgressing borders in language, literature and media”.

Discussion, lecture, oral presentations, group work, collaboration preferably in interdisciplinary teams

regular and active participation, oral presentation, paper (10 pages).
