Introduction to Italian history of literature from its beginnings until the 17th century, in chronological order following historico-cultural epochs as well as literary directions and tendencies. Close studies on examples of the most representative authors and works. Literary critique and text analyses.

To successfully complete the course:
- course attendance is required (max. 2 units are allowed to be missed)
- 1 or 2 presentations have to be held
- 1 final exam
will be announced in the seminar

Attention please: This course is accredited as "Supplementing exam on Italian Literature" for Southtyrolean students to acquire the recognition of university degrees as well as teaching practice. Only a limited number of 30 students can participate in the seminar, senior students are preferred.
