612040 UE Positions in Cultural Studies and Cultural Practices: Slavic Literatures and Cultures in Tyrol (with Colloquium)
winter semester 2021/2022 | Last update: 11.01.2022 | Place course on memo listStudents participate in events that take place during the winter semester in Innsbruck and Tyrol, whether at the university or in public, and become acquainted with various institutions (e.g. Literaturhaus am Inn, publishing houses, art spaces, theaters, cinemas) that deal (regularly or from time to time) with Slavic or Eastern European literatures and cultures, with visual and musical arts, and with traces of contemporary history.
There are many events taking place in Innsbruck (at the university or in public space) that focus on Slavic or Eastern European literature and culture, visual arts, music, or traces of contemporary history from Eastern Europe. The course is intended to give the Master students an insight into the abundance of this offer at our university and in their living space. To this end, we will visit individual institutions (e.g., the Literaturhaus am Inn), listen to scholarly lectures (at the philological-cultural studies department, but also at other faculties), conduct interviews, and, if possible, actively participate in what is happening (e.g., by writing critiques or reviews). In this way, students can become acquainted with different, new professional fields.
Setting up and conducting inverviews, writing critiques and reviews, field trips.
Short written text (essay, critique etc.); individual arrangements may be made.
Will be adapted to the specific program of the winter semester.
