Students will acquire the skills needed to interpret a speech consecutively from English into German.

Consecutive interpreting of simple to moderately difficult speeches from English into German. Theoretical inputs on and practical application of interpreting strategies, note-taking techniques and presentation skills.

Consecutive interpretation of speeches and preparatory exercises; performance evaluation (individually and together with the teacher/group); guidance for individual learning.

Relevant Bachelor's degree. Excellent listening comprehension skills in English and profound speaking skills in German. Preferably completion of introduction into conference interpreting classes.
