Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture

The seminar focuses on topics of transregional transfer, which stand for the symptomatic core areas of art development in South Tyrol. The tasks range from medieval art to the 18th century. Transfer and art topographical location of formal and content-related relationship bridges are worked out exemplarily, explained in the historical context and examined for further local radiations. The students reflect on the relationship between centre and periphery, analyse the formal and iconographic refractions, recognise the qualities of the mediated matrix and deepen form-typical standards
