Participants of the course get insight in basics of the lore in Yoga, especially the Eightfold Path of Yoga (Patanjali). Students get experience with Asanas (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Dharana (concentration), Savasana (stretch and relax) and Dyana (meditation).

Improvement of flexibility, balance, interoception and breathing; strengthening of muscles and cardiovascular system, coordination and focusing; students learn relaxation techniques and simple medidation techniques to enhance wellbeing and internal calm.

 

Practical course

 

 Written description of own experiences and the sight of sport science in one part of the Eightfold Path of Yoga (3-5 DIN-A4 pages); second: a detailed Yoga lesson plan with desired effect (1-2 DIN A4 pages). delivery in the 5th lesson; third: closing of the course with an oral exam (10 to 15 min).
