626602 VO Inclusion and heterogeneity in school I - Inclusive education as a challenge and chance in the daily routine of school
winter semester 2021/2022 | Last update: 29.10.2021 | Place course on memo listThe aim of this course is to impart knowledge respectively to work out by the students, how to devise and implement an inclusive school and an inclusive education in connection with forms of disabilities in the daily routine of school. Innovative methods and approaches in connection with debates of opportunities and challenges of an inclusive school and an inclusive education, in focus of a public-spirited as well as social appointment and responsibility, should be one of the central points of this course. The sensitization with self-awareness should contribute to reduce uncertainty, fear of contact and to allay doubts to make something wrong.
The different challenges and chances of inclusive education and inclusive science of education in the daily routine of school will be discussed and carved out in this course. In the process, school should not only be seen as a delimited sector of education but also in the focus of a public-spirited social appointment and responsibility. In this course should be carved out which inclusive approaches and methods are available in the daily routine of school and how to implement these in an inclusive-innovative context. This course will also include examples and practical experiences of the lecturer. The lecturer is also head of the office for students with disabilities and disability affairs at the University of Innsbruck. The lecturer is disabled and use a wheelchair in the in the everyday life. The lecture will teach about the own experiences, findings in the role as a disabled person.
An additional benefit of this course is that disabled guests will be invited to report about their life with disabilities and their school experiences. The guests will discuss with the course participants and will answer their questions. The participant of the course are invited to test aids and utilities for persons with disabilities. An essential and important part of this course is the sensitization with self-awareness.
