By the end of this seminar, participants will be acquainted with research findings in a range of fields and disciplines which help future teachers understand how best to engage learners in both off- and online language classrooms and have critically reflected upon their relevance for their own teaching. Additionally they will have gained practical experience in how to design engaging materials, activities and lessons.

This course offers insights from a range of fields and disciplines to help future teachers understand how best to engage learners in contemporary language classrooms both off- and online. Thereby students will work with a teacher as an instructional designer approach and place EFL learners at the centre of their own learning process.

Additionally, they will get acquainted with practical methods and strategies for engaging EFL learners and get the opportunity to design their own materials/ activities, plan their own lessons and try them out in our class.

Positiv absolviertes Pflichtmodul 1 des Bachelorstudiums Lehramt Sekundarstufe (Allgemeinbildung) Unterrichtsfach Englisch.

Diese LV ist dem Pflichtmodul 2 („Kompetenzorientierter Fremdsprachenunterricht“) des Bachelorstudiums Lehramt Sekundarstufe (Allgemeinbildung) Unterrichtsfach Englisch zugeordnet. Dem Studienverlauf folgend wird empfohlen, PM2a vor PM2b zu absolvieren.
