Critical analysis of historical sources and reconstructions based on them; writing of a short paper; development of analytical perspectives and own critical points of view.

Street art is not a modern phenomenon, but can be observed in antiquity also. This course analyses ancient graffiti and dipinti on public buildings and private houses from various ancient regions. We will also discuss, how historians can use this kind of material.

Combination of lecture, reading tasks, exercises and a final essay.

Participation and short essay.

Relevant literature will be announced during the course.
