winter semester 2021/2022 | Last update: 24.06.2021 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of skills for a critical handling of historical sources and descriptions in Austrian History and of an adequate competence in presenting this knowledge in written or oral form.
Research and Analysis of essential sources, written by women from the Early Modern Period such as Catharina Regina von Greiffenberg (1633–1694) to Modern Times, such as Rosa Mayreder (1859-1938) and Adelheid Popp (1869-1939). These texts focus less on political history and deal more with reactions of women to the context of the period they lived in.
Oral and or written preparation of selected source material individually or in teams.
Active participation (preparing sources and literature), discussion, minor written reports, oral and/or written presentation.
Will be announced in the lectures and accessible at OLAT.
Passing the exam of BW ÖG3 prior to this course is higly recommended.
We aim at doing classroom teaching, if this can´t be done its probably a hybrid form of teaching
