Acquisition of skills for a critical handling of historical sources and descriptions in Austrian History and of an adequate competence in presenting this knowledge in written and oral form.

Guided reading and interpreting of key sources and descriptions of Austrian History. Training to develop leading historical questions, to understand historical master narratives and the construction of historical concepts.

Exercises using sources, discussion, lecture

Contribution in class, presentations, short exam, written papers

Will be announced in class.

Before attending this course it is recommended to complete the VO Basic Knowledge from the Austrian History.
