Students have basic knowledge of biogeochemical and ecological processes, structures and functions in aquatic systems, and can evaluate case studies from the field of landscape ecology.
Introduction to limnology; ecology of different aquatic habitats (lakes, rivers,
groundwater, ice); structure and dynamics of biological communities;
primary and secondary production.
Lectures where active participation is required.
Written examination.
