• describe translation research in the context of cognition as well as society and culture in a comprehensible manner

 • write a seminar paper according to given criteria in the context of translation studies and sign language

• Rranslation studies issues 2: Cognition-oriented approaches in interpreting science (understanding and production processes, memory, simultaneous speaking and listening, input variables, interpreting strategies, etc.) and cognition-oriented translation models (e.g. effort model)

• Translation studies issues 3: Interpreting approaches in the context of society and culture (interpreting as social interaction, translation and power, translation ethics, the social role of interpreters, effects of translation technology on translation)
