The visit and the analysis of the organization of selected archives in Innsbruck and foreign archives that collect materials on architecture are intended to sharpen the understanding of the development of architectural history and to make the genesis of the architectural museums that have grown out of it understandable.

In the winter semester 2021/22, the archive studies will again be devoted to architectural collections at home and abroad. In the seminar, selected archives are visited on site and discussed together. An excursion to Munich is planned.

Discussions with representatives of the institutions visited as well as oral contributions and short presentations by the participants on site.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".

Relevant literature will be discussed in the introductory event and subsequently announced.

The preoccupation with architectural history and its sources is assumed. 

Participation in the introductory event on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. Location: Archive for Building.Art.History (in Adambräu), Lois Welzenbacher-Platz 1, 6020 Innsbruck, level 6. Further appointments are agreed and held as block events.
