Acquisition of advanced individual knowledge in various fields of architecture and ability to use this knowledge for implementing architecture in a reflected and strategic way.

CHROMOGENIC COMPOSITES

In this seminar, students will explore the relationships between digital environmental simulations, digital fabrication, and material properties. The focus lies on the interplay between colour, form, and climate. The objective of the course is to develop and apply a design and fabrication method which links, programs, synchronises and orchestrates those relationships. The results are interactive chromogenic composites that act as interfaces between the built and the natural environment.

  • Digital Simulations
  • Digital Fabrication
  • Intelligent Materials
  • Digital Analysis

The individual prototypes are coordinated and produced in collaboration with the architecture workshop and the department during the semester.

Application focussed software workshops (free student licences) take place on three dates during the semester.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".
