- know the paradigms of organizational research and understand the connections to different basic concepts of organizational development (OE);
- are able to apply the basic concepts of OE;
- are able to conduct external destination/regional and environmental analyses in order to derive strengths and weaknesses or opportunities and threats for destinations/regions;
- Are able to apply participatory facilitation methods;
- are able to develop future plans in order to implement strategies,
- are able to demonstrate systemic thinking in case studies.
The course offers an introduction as well as application of methods of classical and systemic OE. The students
- are able to define about 30 technical terms and are able to use these terms actively and passively correctly in a technical discussion.
- are able to integrate these concepts, the basic concepts of OE and to reflect on them critically.
- are able to apply, especially participative, methods of OE to regional/destination development.
Students acquire the necessary skills through:
- active participation in the course;
- deepening the material through self-study in the literature;
- working on concrete regional/destination development projects in groups;
- targeted project coaching;
- Presentation of the results to the projects;
