Students can not only reconstruct the genealogy of theological discourses in the 21st century archaeologically, but also harness it in an independent and creative way as a pastoral resource for the future.

Pastoral care is lived theology. And theology draws from pastoral experiences. The lecture explores this mutually constitutive connection between discourse practices and discourses of practice by means of the genealogy of theological discourse constellations in the 21st century: To what extent can corresponding departures such as the Tübingen School, Immanence Apologetics, Dialectical Theology, Innsbruck Theology of Annunciation, Anthropological Turn, Nouvelle Théologie, Theologies of Secularisation, New Political Theology, Theology of Liberation, Feminist Theology, Black Theology, Theology of Religions still be a source of pastoral creativity today? A contemporary discovery tour through the archive of theological discourses - up to paradigms of the present: Radical Orthodoxy, Analytical Theology and Theology of Postmodernity.
