Curr. 2021 § 6 (2) 6: Students have knowledge in comprehension-oriented (interpretative) and explanation-oriented (nomological) sociological action theories. They are able to describe and analyse the relationship between action and structure, individual action creativity and action contexts.

Human action is one of the most important concepts in sociology. We start with Max Weber’s notion of action and discover several ways sociologists have thought about action diverging from Weber’s perspective. This includes as well thinking about the entities that sociologists assume to be able of acting. Thereby, we want to ask if accepting other than human actors would result in new and different concepts of action.
