Students will be familiarized with main theoretical concepts of Gender Studies. They will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge on literary texts and films.
At the beginning you will be introduced to the basics of Gender Studies especially by reading and discussing important theoretical texts (e.g. Judith Butler; R.W. Conell) During the following sessions we will apply the theoretical knowledge on literary texts and films.
Text readings, discussions, presentations, analyses of film clips and texts
Regular participation; oral presentation; written essai
A detailed bibliographie will be at your disposal at the beginning of the semester.
Non; but bascial theoretical knowledge (in Cultural Studies) required.
