The overall learning outcome of this course is to enable students to implement an action-oriented approach in their English language classroom. In order to do so course participants

·         know about key principles of action-orientation

·         are familiar with the method of task-based language teaching

·         can develop tasks aimed at developing the skills of “spoken and written production” as well as “spoken and written interaction”

The participants in this course will

·         get theoretical background knowledge on the action- and task-based approach to teaching English as a foreign language

·         analyse and try out practical tasks which focus on spoken and/or written production and/or interaction

·         design one specific task / develop their own task-based language learning materials collaboratively

·         carry out a classroom simulation based on the task they designed

·         give peer feedback to each other on the tasks and simulation

Positiv absolviertes Pflichtmodul 1 des Bachelorstudiums Lehramt Sekundarstufe (Allgemeinbildung) Unterrichtsfach Englisch.

Diese LV ist dem Pflichtmodul 2 („Kompetenzorientierter Fremdsprachenunterricht“) des Bachelorstudiums Lehramt Sekundarstufe (Allgemeinbildung) Unterrichtsfach Englisch zugeordnet.
