The course participants will acquire some theoretical background knowledge on the action-oriented approach to teaching and learning English as a foreign language. They will be acquainted with and enabled to apply action-oriented and task-based procedures aimed at developing the skills “spoken and written reception” as well as “spoken and written (online) interaction”.

·         Theoretical background knowledge on the action-oriented approach to teaching English as a foreign language

·         Practical implementation of action-oriented language learning scenarios regarding the skill areas “spoken and written reception” as well as “spoken and written (online) interaction”

·         Text book analysis

·         Task design, development of action-oriented language learning materials

·         Classroom simulations

Interactive and media-based teaching

Seminar with immanent examination. Active participation, development and revision of teaching materials, classroom simulations and short text book analysis.
