Critical engagement with historical sites, objects and forms of (re-)presentation in memory cultures; skills for explaining historical phenomena in situ.

We plan to go to various cities and historical places of significance especially for the later Antiquities and the Middle Ages.

Guided tours in the field, presentations of the course instructor as well as of the students.

Participation in discussions, will be announced
