Acquisition of skills for a critical handling of historical sources and descriptions in Austrian History and of an adequate competence in presenting this knowledge in written or oral form.

Guided reading and interpreting of key sources and descriptions of Austrian History. Training to develop leading historical questions, to understand historical master narratives and the construction of historical concepts

Exercises using sources, discussion, lecture

Contribution in class; short written exam

Will be announced in class

Passing the exam of BW ÖG3 prior to this course is higly recommended.
