Learning Outcome:

Students are familiar with Prague´s environmental history and thus prepared for the excursion to Prag (course 645301).

Contents:

Selected aspects of the environmental history of a European metropolis using Prague as an example.

Methods:

Presentations by course instructor, discussion of relevant literature, oral and written presentations by participants

Assessment:

Oral and written presentations.

Literature:

Kupper, Patrick, Umweltgeschichte (Einführungen in die Geschichtswissenschaft. Neuere und Neueste Geschichte), Göttingen 2021. Additional reading will be announced in class.

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of obligatory module 1

Remarks:

The visit of the excursion of the same name (645301) is obligatory.
