The Club of Rome, founded in 1968 as a non-profit organization, is an association of experts from various disciplines from more than 30 countries. He is committed to a sustainable future for mankind. The organization became known with the 1972 report The Limits to Growth. A Report for the Club of Rome's Project on the Predicament of Mankind, which set in motion a worldwide discourse on the future of mankind. The Club of Rome has become one of the leading institutions on issues of sustainable development and protection of ecosystems. In this seminar, not only the history of the Club of Rome and its most important proponents are examined, but also the predictability and relevance of its publications and reports. In addition, other organizations with a similar orientation that have emerged in the wake of the Club of Rome are compared.
Seminar discussions, exercises, oral presentations, case studies.
Continuous assessment, regular and active participation in discussions, participation in the workshop, oral and written contributions.

- SDG 15 - Life on land: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
- SDG 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
