Learning Outcome:

The outcome of the course is the BA-thesis.

Contents:

The course is supporting the work on the BA-thesis. There will be discussions on the concept for the BA-thesis and the academic writing will be exercised.

Not subject of the course are the theme of the BA-thesis, the field/sources and the theoretic framing. These issues are in the responsibility of the supervisors of the BA-thesis.

Methods:

Discussion of concepts for the BA-thesis and of excerpts of the BA-thesis in the making.

Assessment:

BA-thesis.

Literature:

We will on the one hand read concept-papers of BA-thesis by the students as well as text-sections from former and successful BA-theses. On the other hand we will read and discuss theoretical texts on how-to-write academic texts, especially within our discipline of Europan Ethnology.

Prerequisites:

passed Compulsory Modules 5, 6, 7 & 11
