By the end of this course students will be knowledgeable of standard techniques to simulate physical processes, have an understanding of the use methods to discretize problems and application of numerical techniques.
Physically-based simulation is an indispensable element in the domain of computer graphics. Related techniques are employed in animated feature films, movie special effects, 3D video games, virtual environments, or interactive simulations such as surgical training systems. This module will focus on the underlying physical concepts as well as the numerical methods required for simulating animation effects, such as the deformation of objects, the motion and collision of rigid bodies, or the flow of fluids.
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
Knowledge in analysis and linear algebra. The course is appropriate for advanced students, who completed the lecture OptiNum.
