Students master basic experimental methods of physical chemistry and the data analysis. They acquire multidisciplinary key skills in teamwork, oral ,and written communication.
Fundamentals of physicochemical measurement technology: mass, temperature and pressure measurement, vacuum generation, evaluation of experimental data and uncertainty, curve fitting; e.g. Measuring reaction enthalpy, electrolytic conductivity and molecular weights; Phase equilibria in solid-liquid and liquid-gas systems.

Script and other information in eCampus/OLAT.
Succesful passing of the Modules 1, 2, 6, 15 (Physics, Mathematics A, B; Physical Chemistry B).
Sign up till mid of February, even without meeting the prerequisites. Deadline for meeting the prerequisites is Fri, 19.04.2021, 23:59, only then participation is allowed. There will be an written (OLAT-online/mulitple choice) examination of the script content on Mo, 03.05.2021 (08:30-9:00). Afterwards, questions with respect to organization etc will be answered in an "info-hour" (online).
Each participant is in the lab 11 days. This year (Covid-measures), we will use time slots before (9:30-13:30) and after noon (14:30-18:30).
The lab course will be held in Mai/June. Collisions with other courses will be taken into account if possible. All collisions should be communicated by the participants between 21.4-23.4.2021. A time schedule will be available (OLAT) by 4.5.2021.
Additionally, oral examinations take place for each experiment directly before conducting it (JMHaus 30102).
