Students will be able to describe complex current issues and projects in Earth science research, place them in a larger context, and independently develop strategies to address or implement them.

In this course, current issues in an Earth science research area are examined in detail through seminar discussions and their significance is placed in a larger context.

The course in the summer semester 2022 is linked to the VU Ausgewählte Kapitel der erdwissenschaftlichen Forschung and discusses the theme “the evolution of continental transform faults”
