# give examples of socio-ecological processes with relevance to Austria.
The lecture "Regional Geography of Austria" is based on the distinction between scientifically sound, geographic research and regional geography as an addressee-appropriate popularization of research results (Wardenga 2001, Popp 1996). In the further course of the lecture, the formation of Austria as a network of usage claims, institutions, spatial concepts and natural spaces will be discussed. In addition to a regional overview on Austria, also current approaches to analyse socio-ecological interactions will be examined.
