To learn the use of the basic microbiological tools and techniques
Basic techniques for enumeration of microorganisms in various habitats, their isolation and microscopic examination. Further, students are taught cultivation techniques, determination of growth and inhibition by antibiotics. Bacteriophages. Production of yoghurt.
