This course is about the psychological therapies developed for children and adolescents with mental disorders. We will start the seminar by looking at current therapeutic approaches to treat young patients with different psychopathological symptoms. We will focus on intervention techniques for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, affective disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders and somatic symptom disorders. Furthermore, attachment-based research findings in child and adolescent psychopathology and its implications for the therapeutic intervention will represent a major focus of this seminar.
To pass this seminar a seminar paper and a discussion on clinical case studies are required
