Advanced theoretical insight into models underlying computational physics applications, in particular in the classical field theoretical description of fluids and solids; ability to independently gain advanced knowledge in the field.
Plasma properties and occurence; molecular and continuum dynamic models; Maxwell-Boltzmann equations in phase space; coupling of electromagnetic and material fields; fundamental parameters, scales and frequencies; two-fluid models; magnetised plasmas; magnetohydrodynamics (MHD); equilibrium, waves, instabilities and turbulence; magnetic confinement; fusion plasma; numerical methods of plasma physics.
