Learning Outcome:

The Field trip is meant as an experience for personal enrichment and for the exploration of creative and constructive aspects of architecture in the context of different cultures.

Contents:

EX-ROME

The excursion will be in Rome and it will take place in September 2022. We will of course visit ancient roman architecture, such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Villa Adriana, and classic masterpieces such as San Pietro, Bramante’s Tempietto and Borromini’s San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, but also 20^th Century districts such as the EUR, the Garbatella and the Villaggio Olimpico, as well as contemporary icons such as Renzo Piano’s Parco della Musica, Zaha Hadid’s MAXXI Museum and Massimiliano Fuskas’ “La Nuvola”. In the meantime, we will enjoy the bella vita and visit some local architectural practices.

Methods:

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".

Will be discussed in the first meeting.
