The students have a deeper knowledge about technology, dimensioning, integration and use of solar thermal systrems and heat pumps in buildings.

Solarthermal Systems: Climate boundary conditions, basics af heat  and mass transfer, collector technology and types, collecor hydraulics, heat storage, control, integration in domestic hot water and space heating systems, dimensioning, optimization, simulation, standards, subsidies.

Compression Heat Pumps: therdynamics, components (compressor, evaporator, condenser, expansion device, refrigerant store, control), heat sources and sinks, integration in domestic hot water and space heating systems, calculation, dimensioning, optimisation, standards, subsidies.

Absorption heat pumps: thermodynamic basics.

Lecture with calculation examples and simulation tools.
