- The overall learning outcome of this course is to enable students to implement an action-oriented approach in their English language classroom. - The course participants will be enabled to apply action-oriented and task-based procedures at developing the skills “spoken and written reception” as well as “spoken and written (online) interaction”.

- Theoretical background knowledge on the action-oriented approach to teaching English as a foreign language - Practical implementation of action-oriented language learning scenarios regarding the skill areas “spoken and written reception” as well as “spoken and written (online) interaction” - Text book analysis - Task design, development of action-oriented language learning materials - Classroom simulations based on the task they designed - Peer feedback to each other on the tasks and simulation.

- Interactive and media-based teaching - Lecturettes / input by tutor - Pair work / group work / whole group discussions - Presentations and classroom simulations

Seminar with immanent examination. - Active participation - Classroom simulation - Course book analysis and evaluation
