In this seminar we focus on qualitative methods, especially with regard to postmigration studies. The main goal is the training of research methods in the field of qualitative social research.

In the postmigration discourse, which is gaining ground not only in the social sciences, a resistant practice of knowledge production is expressed - a critical and at the same time optimistic attitude that is of central importance for postmigration thinking. With the help of qualitative methods, postmigration art and literature, theater, urbanity and life plans can be examined. By combining theoretical content and practical experience (interviews, group discussions and observation methods), the basics are developed for conducting independent, qualitative research in the field of postmigration studies.
