The course is aimed at law students and prepares for the Supplementary Exam in Latin for Law Students.
Basics of morphology and syntax; translation of legal Latin texts; Latin terms and phrases from the field of legal terminology (in accordance with the examination in Roman Private Law)
focus block units: morphology
focus on weekly units: sentence-worthy constructions; translation of selected texts (like “Institutiones” by Gaius); legal terminology is thematically integrated into each teaching unit; selection of legal terminology is based on „Filip-Fröschl / Mader: Latein in der Rechtssprache, 4. Auflage 2014“
In addition to the lessons, there will be homework to repeat and deepen your knowledge.
