Presentation of research to an interdisciplinary audience
Let's make it easy!
How to communicate Science
The best ideas are useless, if nobody understands them. Communication skills are indispensable in academia today. Scientists are expected not only to do great research but also to make their findings accessible to others. There is a wide range of different ways to do that - writing science blogs, giving interviews, sharing scientific ideas on social media and many more. This workshop will provide basic communication and writing skills, fundamental knowledge about media and different media formats and tips on how to interact with journalists. There will be time for theory, for practical writing sessions and plenty of interesting discussions.
Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
