The rites of Christian initiation (baptism, confirmation, eucharist) are an eminent source for the theological reflection on the meaning of being a Christian and on the nature of the church. The lecture provides information about the biblical foundations of baptism and eucharist and about the present rites in the Roman rite. Furthermore, basic themes of systematic-theological reflection will be treated.
Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
